About this file

This is an insurance requirements document from the State of Colorado and the Community College of Denver (CCD) applicable to the professional moving services contract for Boulder Creek. The document establishes mandatory insurance coverage that vendors and subcontractors must obtain and maintain throughout the contract period. Required coverage includes workers' compensation insurance as mandated by state statute with employers' liability coverage, commercial general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 general aggregate, and automobile liability insurance covering owned, hired, and non-owned vehicles with a combined single limit of $1,000,000 per accident. Both the State of Colorado and CCD must be named as additional insureds on all commercial general liability policies, with coverage required to be primary and non-contributory over any other insurance programs.

The document further specifies cargo and inland marine insurance requirements with a minimum limit of $150,000 per occurrence to cover loss or damage to furniture, equipment, laboratory equipment, medical devices, and instructional materials while in the vendor's care, custody, or control during all phases of relocation. For specialized medical, laboratory, imaging, or research equipment, vendors must maintain a minimum sublimit of $120,000 per occurrence. All insurance policies must include provisions requiring at least 30 days' prior notice to the vendor before cancellation or non-renewal (except for non-payment), with the vendor obligated to forward such notice to CCD within seven days of receipt. Additionally, all policies must include subrogation waivers preventing carriers from pursuing recovery against the vendor, CCD, the State of Colorado, the Auraria Higher Education Center, and associated personnel and volunteers.
