About this file
This file is a requirements specification document titled "Appendix B_EDR_EPP Reqs March 4 2025" that outlines detailed technical requirements for an enterprise endpoint security solution for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The document contains seven major requirement categories: General Requirements, EPP Operational Requirements, Cyber Hunt & Threat Analysis Requirements, Incident Response Requirements, Endpoint Forensics Requirements, Heuristic Behavior Analytics Requirements, and Application Control Requirements.
The specifications call for a comprehensive endpoint protection platform (EPP) solution that must support at least 200,000 devices initially with ability to scale to 600,000+ endpoints across multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, Unix variants, and cloud environments. Key capabilities required include endpoint detection and response (EDR), application control, device control, forensics capabilities, threat hunting, incident response, and behavioral analytics. The solution must meet FIPS 140-2 compliance, FedRAMP High certification, and integrate with existing VA systems like ServiceNow, Active Directory, and SIEM tools. Notable technical requirements include support for air-gapped networks, medical devices without internet connectivity, ransomware protection, crypto mining detection, and the ability to maintain endpoint protection when devices are off-network.

The PWS 3.0 and 5.5.4.1 mentions Macintosh servers, but no Mac server OS type listed here. Please provide a response outlining gaps or deltas comparing all checked applicable OS versions that clearly describe how this requirement is met based on the solution used for the response and which vendor technology is used if the solution includes multiple.
