About this file

This file is an Excel spreadsheet containing detailed technical requirements for an Enterprise Endpoint Protection (EPP) solution for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The requirements document outlines specifications across seven major categories: General Requirements, EPP Operational Requirements, Cyber Hunt & Threat Analysis Requirements, Incident Response Requirements, Endpoint Forensics Requirements, Heuristic Behavior Analytics Requirements, and Application Control Requirements.

The solution must support at least 200,000 devices with scalability up to 600,000+ endpoints across multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, Unix variants, and VMware. Key capabilities required include malware detection/prevention, host-based firewall, application whitelisting, device control, threat intelligence sharing, forensics capabilities, and integration with existing VA security tools. The solution must meet federal security requirements including FIPS 140-2 compliance, FedRAMP certification if cloud-based, and Section 508 compliance. Specific technical requirements address areas such as encryption, forensic analysis, incident response, threat detection, remote management, reporting capabilities, and system resource utilization limits. The solution must integrate with ServiceNow, Active Directory, SIEM systems and support both on-premise and cloud environments while maintaining functionality for air-gapped networks.
