About this file
This is a Bidders List form for the City of Wisconsin Rapids' Request for Proposals to provide shared-ride taxi services, developed in compliance with 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26.11 requirements established by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. The City of Wisconsin Rapids seeks qualified contractors to provide door-to-door, demand-responsive, advanced reservation shared-ride taxi service available to the general public within the city limits and a five-mile radius. Services are scheduled seven days a week with specified daily operating hours, and the contract term runs from January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2020, with three one-year renewal options. The form requires both prime contractors and subcontractors to submit comprehensive bidder information, and the City will supply historical operating statistics for the past seven years to inform proposals. No pre-proposal meeting was anticipated at the time of the announcement. Written questions regarding the RFP were requested by September 19, 2018, and should be directed to Cindy Schlichting, Senior Accountant.
Contractors must submit pricing proposals based on fixed hourly rates as specified in Appendix A and complete all RFP questions and forms, including the Bidders List. The Bidders List requires all bidding firms—both DBEs and non-DBEs—to report their DBE status, firm age, type of work, and annual gross receipts across six categories ranging from less than $500,000 to above $5 million. Vehicles and radio equipment are available through a lease arrangement with the City. This procurement is subsidized with state and federal transit operating funds, with the contractor selected by the municipality according to the selection process detailed in the RFP document. Interested parties should contact Cindy Schlichting at 715-421-8235 or cschlichting@wirapids.org to receive the complete RFP packet and submit proposals.
