About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) from the Architect of the Capitol's Library Buildings and Grounds (LBG) Jurisdiction seeking information on an on-floor, under-carpet, ultra-low profile raised floor cable management system to replace their existing discontinued CommScope flatwire system. The system needs to integrate with existing in-trench wiring ducts manufactured by Thomas & Betts across three Library of Congress facilities: Thomas Jefferson Building (1886), John Adams Building (1938), and James Madison Memorial Building (1976).

Interested parties must submit white papers in PDF format by January 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST to Contract Specialist Jonathan Cornett (jonathan.cornett@aoc.gov). The papers should address specific requirements including code compliance, fire protection, load capacity (must support 1,200 lb book carts and 2,400 lb maintenance lifts), manufacturing standards, Buy America Act compliance, doorway transitions, and compatibility with communication lines and POE. Questions are due by December 13, 2024, at 3:00 PM EST. The government may conduct follow-up meetings with respondents but is not committed to any future procurement action.
