About this file
This is a Pre-Bid RFI Responses document (#3) dated February 20, 2025, for the Paulding County Fleet Maintenance Facility project in Georgia. The document outlines several key revisions to the construction plans, including modifications to the Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) roof design and second floor framing specifications. A general note indicates that an existing storage building on the site with power (but no plumbing) is available for the General Contractor to use as a job site trailer.
The technical revisions detailed in Addendum #1 include the removal of an overbuild/cricket in favor of a valley gutter behind the parapet, featuring four internal PVC downspouts that connect to the underground storm drainage system. The second floor framing specifications have been updated with definitive bar joist depths and slab reinforcing details. Additional modifications include adjustments to cavity clearances, duct sizes, and a change in the break room ceiling height to 9'-0" to match typical office space ceiling heights. These changes are reflected in clouded revisions across architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, and civil drawings.

Paulding County Fleet Maintenance Facility Pre-Bid RFI Responses #3 February 20, 2025
General Note: As was mentioned by the County in the Pre-Bid Meeting, an existing storage building on the Site that the GC may opt to use for a job site trailer. Building includes power but no plumbing.
See the attached Addendum #1 drawings for civil and building with clouded revisions, mainly addressing the PEMB options for roof and second floor framing.
1. For the PEMB roof, the drawings have been revised to remove the overbuild/cricket and provide a valley gutter behind the parapet by the PEMB with four total internal PVC downspouts (2 on each side of the building at the gutter condition) that will be piped underground to the storm drainage system. This requires a double-wall stud configuration for the parapet framing to bypass the gutter with an additional 10” slab extension at these side parapet conditions. These revisions are reflected in the clouded changes for the architectural, structural, plumbing, and civil drawings.
2. We have added additional information for the criteria of the second floor framing by the PEMB, including a definitive bar joist depth, as well as slab reinforcing. Depths and cavity clearances and duct sizes have been modified and coordinated with the stated structural depths. The break room ceiling has been changed to 9’-0” to match the typical ceiling heights for the rest of the o ice space. These revisions are reflected in the clouded changes for the architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.
3. Other clouded revisions are updates based on the previous responses/amendments already received.
