| I was just reading in Section Eight of the Revised Juvenile Risk Assessment Consulting paperwork that a contractor can be exempt from worker's compensation insurance requirements or have that requirement waived. As a solo contractor without any employees, I believe I should qualify for the exemption. Could you please let me know how to go about establishing that exemption or having that requirement waived? |
| Section 8, IDJC Not Responsible for Worker’s Compensation, doesn’t have any provision for requesting a waiver. See the second paragraph of that section relating to exemption from having workers’ compensation. |
You can request a waiver from providing commercial auto insurance (see section 9 and section 9.1; and note section 9.2 about personal auto insurance).
There are no changes.
Thank you for your interest in supplying the needs of the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections.
