About this file

This document is an Amendment 2 Questions and Answers clarification for Request for Proposal 26-2109, issued by the State of Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for HVAC Preventative Maintenance services in the Grand Region. The amendment addresses bidder inquiries regarding system access and credential management for Niagara Controls equipment monitoring and maintenance tasks outlined in Exhibit 1 of the RFP. The state clarified that MDOT currently maintains Firefox login credentials and user IDs for system access, with cradle access also available, and that password resets are performed on an as-needed basis when issues arise during routine maintenance activities. The state confirmed that historical lockout situations requiring contractor intervention to regain system access have not previously occurred.

This amendment provides critical operational guidance for prospective bidders to accurately scope their service delivery and resource allocation for the preventative maintenance program. The clarifications ensure bidders understand the existing access environment and support protocols, enabling them to submit competitive and realistic proposals without unnecessary contingencies for emergency access restoration procedures.
