About this file

This is Amendment 2 to bid event EVT0010087 issued by the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) for Newton Subarea Fencing, with a closing date of February 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The amendment provides clarifications from the pre-bid meeting regarding fence and gate specifications, including requirements for automated cantilevered gates on the East side, while the West gate will be non-automated but lockable. The project includes concrete installation under both cantilevered gates, fence removal and reattachment, and installation of new fencing around a retention pond on top of a berm.

The amendment outlines technical specifications including KDOT's provision of single-phase power, the vendor's responsibility for setting 3" PVC pipe conduit, providing the Gate Operator, and installing driveway loops for the gate operator. The vendor must also handle the removal of the old fence, which KDOT wishes to retain. Vendors must acknowledge this amendment by signing and submitting it with their bid response.
