About this file
This document is Amendment #1 for Invitation to Bid (ITB) # 40100-13594 issued by the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation for salt brine and utility trailers. The amendment addresses vendor questions regarding the procurement, clarifying that trailers will be ordered on an as-needed basis over a 5-year contract period, with the State having the option to purchase trailers listed in the bid. The contractor is required to deliver trailers within a 90-day timeline after a purchase order is issued, and no minimum order quantity is guaranteed. Delivery location, quantity, and specific trailer types will be identified at the time of each order.
The amendment provides additional context that trailers will be ordered as requested by field operations, and photos of the brine and utility trailers are attached to Version 2 of the ITB. Notably, the brine trailer does not come with a tank. The State emphasizes that while this is a 5-year contract, the actual purchase and delivery of trailers will be based on operational needs, with the contractor expected to construct trailers upon receipt of a purchase order in accordance with the specified timeline and revised specifications.
