About this file
This is Amendment 1 to a Request for Quote (RFQ) for mezzanine replacement services at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, issued by the 2d Contracting Squadron on 11 June 2026.
The amendment provides clarification through a Questions and Answers document addressing four key inquiries from potential offerors. Answer 1 clarifies that foam is required for the shelving surfaces themselves to protect delicate items from damage, not as floor covering. Answer 2 directs offerors to Attachment 4 for photographic details of existing units and shelving to be removed. Answer 3 confirms that all shelving units requiring removal are located on the ground floor and are not permanently installed into the ground. Answer 4 specifies that shelving dimensions should be full depth rather than back-to-back sections to accommodate the size of equipment and containers. The solicitation due date and time of 1:00 PM CDT on 19 June 2026 remains unchanged. Vendors with questions should contact SrA Ricardo Florentino, Contract Specialist, at (318) 456-9729 or ricardo.florentino@us.af.mil.

FA460826QC090, Mezzanine Replacement, Amendment 1
DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE
2D CONTRACTING SQUADRON (AFGSC)
BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE LOUISIANA
11 June 2026 MEMORANDUM FOR Vendors/Offerors
FROM: 2d Contracting Squadron/PKP 801 Kenney Avenue, Building 4400, Suite 2300 Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana 71110
SUBJECT: Amendment 1, FA460826QC090, Mezzanine Replacement
1. The purpose of issuing Amendment 1 is to provide supplemental information in the form of a Question and Answers document. The following questions were submitted to 2 CONS and the answers to each are highlighted below in red:
Question 1: The RFQ states “Each shelving surface will be provided with foam” are you referring to the floor covering?
Answer 1: Some items are delicate. Foam is needed for shelves that contain these items to prevent major jostling or damage to exterior. This is for the shelves themselves, not the floor beneath.
Question 2: Do you have any details and pictures on the existing units or shelving that needs to be removed?
Answer 2: Yes, look at Attachment - 4 for photos of shelves and floors.
Question 3: Are all shelving units that need to be removed on the ground floor?
Answer 3: All units are on the ground floor. I have verified each in place shelf and none are “installed” into the ground.
Question 4:Is the shelving full depth or back-to-back (2-18” sections to make the 36” depth)?
Answer 4: Shelving dimensions are meant to be full depth to facilitate the size of some of the equipment and containers.
2. The due date and time of 1:00 PM CDT on 19 June 2026 remains unchanged for Solicitation
FA460826QC090.
3. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this amendment, please contact SrA Ricardo Florentino, Contract Specialist, by telephone at (318) 456-9729 or by email at ricardo.florentino@us.af.mil.
