About this file

This document is an amendment to a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) at the Menard Correctional Center for 12/1 cotton yarn. IDOC is seeking a minimum order quantity of 5,000 lbs, with the intent to place one order within the less than 90 days available before the end of their fiscal year. Vendors are permitted to submit more than one quote, but each quote must be submitted as a separate BOA.

The related state and local contract opportunity is for Menard Correctional Center to procure 12/1 cotton yarn. The solicitation is an electronic submission only through the Bidbuy system, and vendors are required to attach the completed and signed Basic Ordering Agreement when submitting their bid. The procurement is being conducted by the state of Illinois, specifically Randolph County.

IDOC – Menard CC 12/1 Cotton Yarn BOA Bid #B-27972 Amendment #1 Response to Vendor’s Questions to Basic Ordering Agreement – Standard Terms and Conditions Below is the response to the questions that IDOC has received regarding the above BOA:

1. In this BOE, the description area of the first page includes the following language: “…minimum order quantity 5000 lbs.” Does this mean your intent is to place as many as 4 orders in the less than 90 days available from the time of final signature of both parties and the end of your fiscal year?

Answer: No, we will be placing 1 order for a minimum of 5000 lbs. The minimum amount to be delivered is 5000 lbs.

1. Is it permitted to offer more than one quote for this opportunity, and if so, must it be on a separate BOE or can it be shown as an alternate offer?

Answer: You may submit more than one quote but it must be submitted as a separate quote on a separate BOA.
