About this file
The document is a Pre-Proposal Conference Summary for a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Maryland Department of General Services on behalf of the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) for Multi-Test Diagnostic Equipment. The RFP seeks to acquire high quality diagnostic laboratory multi-test equipment to distribute to Maryland primary care offices to assist physicians in quickly differentially diagnosing patients suffering from respiratory diseases such as Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Influenza A or B, and COVID-19. The RFP estimates a quantity of 100 units, though this is not a guaranteed order amount. The RFP does not have any Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) requirements, but reporting connectivity to physicians' Electronic Health Records and compatibility with CRISP and NEDSS systems is preferred.
The Financial Proposal consists of pricing for the multi-test diagnostic equipment per unit and the cartridge required for each test. While not mandatory, vendors are encouraged to submit any additional questions via email for an amendment to be created. The Maryland Department of Health personnel were present during the Pre-Proposal Conference to provide clarifications, and an attendance list was distributed.
