About this file

This is Amendment 1 to a Fixed Price Bid solicitation issued by the South Carolina Department of Insurance for examinations of insurance companies. The solicitation was issued on June 10, 2022, by Procurement Officer Kathy Santandreu. Offerors must submit offers online at http://www.procurement.sc.gov with one additional paper copy mailed to the SFAA Division of Procurement Services at 1201 Main Street, Suite 600, Columbia, SC 29201. The deadline for offer submission is June 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM ET, with questions from offerors due by May 17, 2022, at 10:00 AM ET. Award notification is scheduled for August 4, 2022. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of all amendments and hold their offers open for a minimum of thirty calendar days after the opening date.

The amendment addresses two vendor inquiries regarding the scope of services. The state clarified that the insurance examinations do not relate to school district student or athlete accident insurance. Additionally, the state confirmed that vendors cannot propose rates higher than the established maximum daily rates listed in Section VIII of the Bidding Schedule, regardless of examination complexity. All other terms, conditions, bidding instructions, and specifications from the original solicitation remain unchanged. Offerors are responsible for contacting the procurement officer for any clarification needed regarding this amendment or the original solicitation.
