About this file
This is Amendment 1 to an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the State of Maryland State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) for plumbing maintenance and repair services under contract number D7PLUMB32SB. The amendment modifies the original IFB requirements for commercial plumbing services. The specific scope of work, quantities, response deadlines, bid due dates, site visit information, bidders' conference details, and contract award dates are not detailed in this amendment document. The contract term and any renewal options are not specified in the provided file excerpt.
The amendment addresses bidder minimum qualifications and documentation requirements. Bidders must maintain a current State of Maryland Master Plumbers License, have a minimum of five years of commercial plumbing experience, and maintain an available workforce of at least two State of Maryland licensed journeyman technicians with minimum five years of commercial plumbing experience. Bidders must provide three business references from firms receiving similar commercial plumbing services within the preceding 24 months, with reference checks to be conducted prior to contract award. Negative reference responses may result in bid disqualification. Additional pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent contractor information, funding amounts, and other financial requirements are not included in this amendment excerpt.

ADDENDUM/AMENDMENT I
DATE: July 22, 2026
TO: All Prospective Vendors
FROM: Amanda Stebbing District Financial Officer
SUBJECT: Invitation for Bids No.: D7PLUMB32SB_PLUMBING MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SERVICES Amendment Number One
Dear Interested Party, The Maryland State Highway Administration intends for Amendment Number One to clarify the line item on the price sheet listing the annual service of backflow preventers. How many backflow preventers are in the facility? Is the price per preventer or per total service?
Answer: This line item is for the service annually of all backflow preventers in the facility.
There are a total of four (4) back flow preventers in the building. All (4) four are to be inspected per year of the contract. Bid amount will include inspecting all the backflow preventers as a single service. The quantity for the line item is five (5) as the term of the contract is five (5) years. Vendors should bid per unit on the price they would charge to inspect all back flow preventers as one service (Column C). Then take this per service amount and multiply it times the quantity five (5) (Column B) to achieve the total line-item bid amount (Column D).
