Due to the unknown soil classification of the existing soils, please clarify if the bidder is to assume the existing onsite excavated material is acceptable backfill material of the detention systems, or if the bidder should assume aggregate backfill material will be required.

4. Please confirm if the Alternate #1 Bid Price is to include Part B Lump sum allowances + Part C

Quantity Allowances in addition to the lump sum price for Alternate #1. The allowances for Part

B and Part C would be included in both the Total Base Bid as well as the Alternate Bid Price.

a. Lump sum allowances are intended to include both base and alternate bid.

5. Will background checks and badges be required for all personnel working on site per Spec

Section 1.07A/B? If so, who is responsible for the cost of background checks and badging?

6. If the cost of the Fire lane Striping and Signage is more than the $1200 lump sum allowance, who will be responsible for the additional cost?

7. The anticipated project schedule does not align with the typical landscape planting season.

Please confirm if landscaping is required to be planted prior to the fixed project completions date or if it will be acceptable to install landscaping in the fall after the project completion date?

a. Please bid landscaping as required during project schedule. Landscaping may not be required for substantial completion. Any planting done after the project schedule shall be coordinated with Amelia County Public Schools and may require weekend installation.
