Hematite Picnic Area Located near Nature Station and has approximately 12 picnic tables and fire rings.
Nature Watch Area Woodland Walk Trail: 1 mile trail departing and ending at Nature Station.
Hematite Trail and Picnic Area: 2.25 mile trail departs and ends at the picnic area and has approximately 12 picnic tables and fire rings.
Long Creek Trail: 1/8th mile long paved trail.
Center Furnace and Trail: ¼ mile trail highlighting the historic iron furnace.
Empire Point: Approximately 2 miles from Nature Station, a wildlife viewing area open to the public as a “park and walk” experience.
Bobcat Point: Approximately 3 miles from Nature Station, a wildlife viewing area open to the public as a “park and walk” experience.
Honker Dam: Approximately 3 miles from Nature Station, a wildlife viewing area open to the public as a “park and walk” experience. Honker Trail is accessible from this location.

SOUTH BISON RANGE (SBR)
General Description 190 acres with approximately 160 acres enclosed by fenceline
0.7 acre animal handling facility Approximately 0.7 acre of 6-8 foot high cable and painted metal walls with some wooden wall sections and numerous cattle panels. Many walls stabilized using wooden posts.
Approximately 42 swinging gates exist throughout the bison handling area as well as 7 steel sliding doors.
1 manual squeeze chute with head catch 1 metal holding box with 12 volt digital scale
Description Of Other Facility Structures:
Several small gravel creek crossings are maintained.
Culverts: a few low areas where fences cross contain approximately 2 culverts 16-24” diameter.
1 large interpretive sign located along Woodlands Trace adjacent to a paved pulloff.
2 Gravel Surfaced Parking Areas located along Woodlands Trace: approximately 12,000 and 5,000 square feet.
3 sets of large metal water gates attached to overhead I-beams and made to swing with high water and debris flow 5 smaller wooden water gates attached to overhead beams or poles Gates: Approximately 8 swing gates, 14-16’ wide (excluding corral facility)
3.7 miles of high tensile woven wire fence 5.5’ to 6’ tall
SOUTH WELCOME STATION

2300 acres with approximately 100 miles of designated off-highway vehicle trails (ATV, UTV, dirt bike, jeep, etc.).
