Notes

1. Contractor shall submit for approval appropriate shop drawings for a floating, trailer mounted pump that meets the requirements identified in the project specifications. Configuration shall allow for connection to the aboveground HDPE pipeline.

2. Ramp shall be excavated from existing bank profile. Ramp shall be 20' wide and graded at a 3:1 slope. Side slopes shall be graded at a 2:1 slope. Final ramp surface shall be seeded according to the project specifications.

3. 12" HDPE 4710 pipe shall be provided in 20' lengths. A minimum of 10 sections will be required to provide 200' length of aboveground pipe to the top of the ramp. The required number of sections may change depending upon the Contractor's proposal for the pump configuration.

4. Pipe ends shall be mechanically grooved to be compatible with coupling hardware. Hardware shall be modified to provided protection from tampering. Locking capabilities will be provided for these couplers. Contractor may propose alternate coupling method.

5. Flanged connection shall be provided to allow connection to permanently installed riser. Contractor shall determine, with the approval of Engineer, the appropriate connection assembly for attachment to the pump.

6. Permanent buried electrical service shall be installed and provided to the installed concrete transformer pad. Contractor is responsible for this service.

7. Temporary/seasonal electrical cable to be buried in a shallow trench (approx 6" deep) beneath HDPE pipeline. Cable supplies power from transformer to the pump. Contractor shall coordinate with Capital Electrical Co-Op to ensure that an electrical connection is provided that allows for seasonal installation of the cable. Connection shall be provided within a watertight and secured/locked enclosure to prevent tampering. Enclosure, connection, and cable type shall be included in the Contractor's pump proposal.
