(d) Ordering Contracting Officer: warranted Contracting Officer/Specialist signing individual task orders.

(e) Line Item: individually priced work items, may or may not include more than one work component.

(f) Primary performance area: New York Animal Import Center Facility.

Task Orders (TOs) for requirements below the SAT may be issued to the eligible contractor with the lowest priced line items at the discretion of the ordering contracting officer. Determination of the lowest priced line item contractor will be based on the aggregate total of the prices for the specific line items required on the TO. If the lowest priced line item contractor has reached its MOL for the year (or will exceed their MOL if awarded this TO); the TO will be issued to the next lowest priced line item contractor.

(2) Task Orders will be issued on a Form "Optional Form 347" and represent the Government's acceptance of the contractor's task order proposal. Orders may be placed via mail, e-mail, or other electronic commerce. For TOs valued at $30,000 through $150,000, a form of payment protection must be provided and accepted (payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit) before a NTP can be issued. For TOs over $150,000 both performance and payment bonds must be received and accepted prior to issuance of NTP.

(a) The Government shall endeavor to utilize this contract to the maximum practical extent for repairs and alterations, however, the Government reserves the right to perform, or have performed by others, any services, repairs and alterations, required within the primary performance area;

doing so shall not breach or otherwise violate this contract.

(b) The Government may request a contractor to submit a quote for lump sum (non-line item) work.

3. All offerors are required to acknowledge receipt of this amendment 000001.

4. This amendment does not change the closing date for submission of proposals.
