SECTION C--DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK

C.1

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Forest Road 2160 MP. 2.4 Culvert Replacement. The project consists of the following major items of work: Replacing a culvert with an 18 foot structural plate pipe, 95 feet long. The work shall include: installing and maintaining temporary traffic control signing and barriers; construction survey and staking of a road and stream channel; contractor testing; soil erosion and pollution control; clearing and grubbing; dewatering the site during construction; removal of existing culvert (5 foot diameter x 105 feet long); excavation and haul of existing fill material; placement and compaction of structural backfill; constructing a stream simulation rock stream channel; placing riprap; placing, shaping and compacting aggregate surfacing; seeding and mulching. All labor and materials are to be provided by the Contractor. All work on site shall be completed by August 3, 2010 or Sept. 3, 2010 depending on the performance period selected by the CO. The contractor must submit certification for all contract specified materials and testing including a weedfree certifications for graded agregate, riprap, stream bed rock, seeding and mulch for review by the CO prior to moving material to the job site.
