Sullivan-Tenmile Photo Log from June24th

Figure 1 East end of the trail is in a meadow. No tread work here, just posts and signs.

Figure 2 Creek Crossing for Tributary of Tenmile-Ford

Figure 3 Boulder Field near middle of trail-the trail skirts below boulders, but will be rocky.

Figure 4 Most challenging switchback on entire project.

Figure 5 Skirting under boulder field and attempting to avoid large white bark pine near middle of the trail. You can see the flags through the photo, another photo of mine where the horizon seems to slant. It’s steep.

Figure 6 Road that must be converted to trail. Road width varies from 24 feet to 6 feet. In this photo I would estimate the road is 18-22 feet wide. Large equipment is allowed for this work.

Figure 7 Existing ford at Twelvemile Creek. Photo taken in June-creek was knee deep. Road 2492-no work to be done with ford for road to trail conversion.

Figure 8 White bark pine all along the ridges. No cutting of 10-inch or greater DBH shall be allowed on this project without permission. This photo is typical of the west end of the project.
