About this file

This document is an addendum for a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Clayton County Water Authority (the Owner) for the Advanced Water Treatment and Capacity Upgrades project. The project involves the complete design and construction of upgrades to the Owner's water treatment facilities. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting was held on February 27, 2024, and proposals are due by April 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. local time. The addendum addresses questions received from potential proposers and provides additional information, including attachments with pump information, CT calculations, and the pre-proposal meeting materials.

The addendum indicates that the selected design-builder will be responsible for issuing requests for proposals and quotes for all equipment packages as part of the Phase 2 proposal. The Owner does not anticipate any changes to the chemical storage requirements at the Hooper Water Production Plant, but wants to have a minimum of 45 days of storage for Sodium Hypo and Alum (or main coagulant) and replace the tote system with new bulk storage facilities at the Hicks Water Production Plant due to the increase in flow and usage.
