About this file
This is Addendum #2 to the bidding and construction documents for the Green Road Community Center HVAC Renovations project issued by the City of Raleigh Engineering Services Department, dated September 11, 2026. The addendum modifies the original bidding documents dated August 13, 2026, and establishes a bid due date of September 22, 2026 at 1:00 PM. The project, managed by engineer IMEG Consultants Corp., involves HVAC renovations at the Green Road Community Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Key project components include removing and replacing six packaged units and one split system totaling 57 tons of capacity, cleaning existing ductwork, providing pre-construction and post-construction test and balance services, and installing a new Building Automation System (BAS) with new controllers and a JACE unit. Substantial completion is required by May 14, 2027, with liquidated damages assessed at $500 per calendar day for any delay beyond that date. All bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum on the bid form to avoid disqualification.
The addendum provides technical specifications and clarifications for project execution. The BAS will utilize a combination of field-mounted devices and internal control points visible through a BACnet IP controller, with BACnet MSTP connection permitted only for the existing AC-4 unit being reused and integrated into the new system; all other integration must utilize BACnet IP. The contractor is responsible for providing all material and labor required to field-mount devices for a complete and operational system. Existing unit AC-4 shall receive maintenance including coil cleaning, fan inspection, and filter replacement. The fabric ductwork in the gym, originally specified as Ductsox, Air Sox, or KE Fibertec brand, is to be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled by the contractor, with the specific brand to be determined during construction.
