About this file
This document is an Addendum #2 for the Wahiawa Library Temporary Office Repair project, issued by Hawaii State Public Library System (HSPLS) on 3/25/25. The project involves interior painting of the library's temporary office located at 823 California Avenue, A-11, with a bid due date of 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. The scope of work is specifically limited to interior painting, including walls in back rooms and restrooms, with detailed specifications for paint type (SuperPaint by Sherwin Williams or Regal Select by Benjamin Moore) and application requirements. Work is to be performed during normal working hours of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for alternative hours subject to 48-hour notification.
The addendum clarifies several key project details, including the deletion of previously proposed vinyl tile flooring and cove base work, with existing carpet squares and cove base to remain. A suggested light fixture (Integrated LED Drop Ceiling Panel Light) is recommended, and floor receptacles will be removed/blanked by another contractor. No hazardous materials report is available, as no demolition is planned. The painting specifications include requirements for surface preparation, protection of existing surfaces, and submittal of manufacturer information, certifications, and color samples for approval. The project appears to be a straightforward interior renovation focusing on refreshing the library's temporary office space with minimal structural modifications.
