About this file

This is an Addendum Q&A document for the ACC DQ 17-15-119 Batteries - Telco Closets contract opportunity in Colorado. The document addresses three primary bidder inquiries regarding the battery replacement project. The procurement specifies that all new product must be supplied for this application, rather than allowing for refurbished or retrofitted alternatives. Bidders are instructed to provide their assured delivery date by stating when they can deliver the equipment following bid award, rather than providing a specific calendar date. The state has provided specific APC device models and serial numbers requiring battery replacements, including SURTA48XLBP units (two units with serial numbers 5S1220T19453 and 5S1239T18309) and SURT192XLBP units (three units with serial numbers 5S1217T11637, 5S1217T10967, and 5S1217T10987).

The addendum clarifies that bidders should state their delivery timeline in terms of days or weeks after award rather than committing to a fixed delivery date of 2/2/17. APC has indicated that model numbers and serial numbers are required to ensure proper fit of replacement batteries, and the state has provided representative device serial numbers from units on site, though acknowledged that not all serial numbers were available at the time of the inquiry. The requirement for new product components eliminates cost savings that might have been achieved through battery-only replacements within existing APCRBC140 and RBC57 modules.

Q:

Good talking with you today. As I was looking over the bid request for this battery project. I noticed we would be able to save you a bunch of money by changing out the batteries within the current APCRBC140 & RBC57 modules instead of replacing them with factory new modules A: We will require all new product for this application

Q:

I see that the quote delivery date is 2/2/17. What is the requested equipment delivery date?

The quote form requests an “Assured Delivery Date”. What date is being requested? Or am I simply to sate when we can deliver, i.e., number of days after the bid has been awarded A: Simply State when you can deliver

Q: I'm working on the quote for the APC replacement batteries and require more information. APC has requested model number and serial number of the units to insure proper fit of the new batteries. Please let me know if you can provide this information.

A:

Below are some models and S/N of the devices we need batteries for.

I am not able to get all of them but these represent models that we have on site
