About this file
This is an Addendum 2 clarification document related to a solicitation for replacement battery cartridges for APC uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units. The solicitation requests two specific replacement battery cartridge models: the APC Replacement Battery Cartridge #140 (part number APCRBC140) and the RBC57 (part number RBC57), which are designed for use with APC RT 3000 and RT 5000 UPS units respectively. The addendum addresses a bidder inquiry regarding apparent duplicate part numbers for Items 1 and 3, clarifying that all necessary specifications, manufacturer information, model numbers, and part numbers have been provided in the original bid request documentation.
The addendum confirms that the bid request contains complete information for vendors to prepare accurate proposals, including the manufacturer (APC), the specific battery cartridge models required, the UPS unit models for which the batteries are intended, and the corresponding part numbers. No additional pricing terms, set-asides, funding sources, or other contract-specific details are addressed in this clarification document, which serves solely to verify the accuracy and sufficiency of the technical specifications provided in the original solicitation.

Addendum 2 Q:
With regard to the above referenced solicitation, please look at Items 1 and 3. They cannot be the same part number, as indicated in the spec.
Kindly advise updated part numbers.
A: Everything in the bid request is correct and you should have everything they need to put together your bid. You have the make/manufacturer info (APC), you have what is needed (Replacement Battery Cartridge #140 and #57) and you have the model of the APC units these batteries will be used in (RT 3000, RBC57 and RT 5000). You even have the part numbers (APCRBC140 and RBC57). Again, all the info you need to put together a bid is in the document.
