About this file
This is an addendum to an Invitation to Bid (RFB-203-23) issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, for HVAC removal and installation at Western State Hospital Building 15 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, under the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. The addendum clarifies specifications and contractor responsibilities for the project. Key clarifications include that the contractor is responsible for bush removal at the AHU-2 location, provision of stand-alone controls with BACnet cards for future integration, ceiling patching using sheet metal and paint to match existing conditions, and material storage and staging coordination with the owner. The contractor may work four 10-hour shifts with owner coordination. Typical construction hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with work outside these hours requiring owner approval.
The contractor is not responsible for testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) but must schedule TAB services and correct any resulting deficiencies. Wage rates do not apply to this contract. The HVAC units will operate as stand-alone controls and will not be integrated into a building management system at this time, though BACnet interface capability is required for potential future integration. All materials must be stored outside the building, with the contractor responsible for equipment storage prior to work commencement. Additional specifications and changes to drawings are referenced in an addendum to be distributed by Lynn Imaging.
