About this file
Addendum No. 1 is a document issued by Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson for the City of Elizabeth City's Ray Street at Brooks Avenue Water and Sewer Replacement project, dated March 31, 2025. The addendum provides clarifications and amendments to the original bid documents, addressing multiple technical specifications, drawing details, and questions raised during the pre-bid process. Key clarifications include confirmation that water service lines are not limited to copper, specifications for sanitary sewer precast concrete manholes requiring interior epoxy coating, confirmation of new meter setters and water meters (to be furnished by the City of Elizabeth City with AMI remote reading capabilities), and allowances for asphalt surface course replacements.
The addendum indicates the project will follow Davis-Bacon wage determination for Heavy Construction, with the wage determination number NC20250069 dated 01/03/2025. The document specifies that the Prime Contractor must submit a Section 3 plan with the bid package and provides guidance on various technical requirements, including pipe bedding, water service connections, and pavement restoration. The addendum emphasizes the need for coordination with the City of Elizabeth City and provides detailed responses to technical questions that potential bidders may have about the project's specifications, drawings, and implementation requirements.
