About this file
This file is an Addendum No. 1 Attachment containing electrical specifications for the 751/19239.RWG/DNR Multi-Division Storage Facility project. The document consists of seven detailed specification sections covering low-voltage electrical power conductors and cables, grounding and bonding for electrical systems, hangers and supports for electrical systems, boxes for electrical systems, identification for electrical systems, power system studies, wiring connections, and lighting control devices. The specifications establish comprehensive requirements for materials, installation standards, testing procedures, and quality assurance for all electrical components and systems. Reference standards include NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NECA standards, NEMA standards, IEEE standards, ASTM specifications, and various UL listings. The specifications require compliance with manufacturer instructions, NFPA 70 requirements, and applicable building codes, with detailed coordination requirements among trades and project personnel.
The specifications do not establish pricing terms, set-asides, or funding information, as this is a technical requirements document rather than a procurement notice. The document emphasizes quality assurance through field quality control testing in accordance with NETA ATS standards, inspection requirements, and compliance verification. Submittals are required for product data, design calculations, project record documents, and test reports. The specifications include detailed requirements for materials including copper and aluminum conductors, metal-clad cables, wiring connectors, grounding equipment, support systems, outlet boxes, identification nameplates and labels, occupancy sensors, outdoor motion sensors, photo controls, daylighting control systems, and lighting contactors. All products must be listed, classified, and labeled as suitable for their intended purpose by recognized testing laboratories acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction. Installation work must comply with NECA 1 standards for good workmanship and include provisions for accessibility, safety labeling, arc flash hazard warnings, and comprehensive identification of all electrical systems and components.
