About this file
This Addendum No. 1 is issued by the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) on behalf of the Maryland Transit Administration Police Force (MTAPF) in response to their Request for Information (RFI) regarding commercially available Artificial Intelligence (AI) software capable of detecting visible firearms through existing video surveillance systems. The addendum provides clarifications and modifications to the original RFI requirements, addressing vendor inquiries and refining the scope of the technology evaluation. The document outlines the specific capabilities sought, including real-time or near-real-time detection performance, integration compatibility with existing MTA surveillance infrastructure, accuracy metrics, and processing requirements. Key procedural details include the deadline for responses, submission instructions, and any updated evaluation criteria that vendors must address in their information submissions.
The addendum specifies technical and operational requirements that vendors must meet, including details regarding system compatibility, false positive rates, processing speeds, and scalability across MTA's transit network. It addresses clarifications on the evaluation methodology, vendor qualifications, and performance benchmarks that the MTA will use to assess the proposed AI solutions. The document may include modifications to originally stated requirements, expanded questions for vendors, or additional submission documentation needed to properly evaluate the technology's feasibility for deployment across Maryland's transit system.
