Unless I missed it, I do not see that work detailed on the structural drawings. Also the overhead door details 8” diameter bollards inside and outside of the building but say to refer to civil. These will have to move further from the wall than the 1’ shown so they don’t interfere with the footings. Are the bollards to be painted safety yellow or do they get a yellow Idealshield cover? The site furnishings spec seemed to indicate the bollards are to be galvanized. Please confirm.

Addendum 2 Page 12 of 14

Answer: Jamb plate is shown on Detail 12/S-504. Applicable Specifications shall be 312000, 031000, 032000, and 033000. Bollards shall be shifted so they do not interfere with the footings.

4.68. Question: On details 1 and 2 on 751, there are angles/plate detailed on the tube steel. The structural drawings make no reference to those angles and plates. See below details. Also, the structural drawings refer you to the lintel schedule but the size of the openings exceeds the scheduled brick opening lintels.

Answer: Refer to revised detail D/S-305, G/S-305, and H/S-305, as well as revised lintel schedule on sheet S-503.

4.69. Question: I have a question from Bridge Crane sub, see below: In order to provide the correct electric bar, can you provide what corrosives that are expected to avoid potential melting?

Answer: There should not be any highly corrosive materials utilized within the work bays. Other maybe some road salts coming off of vehicles.

Addendum 2 Page 13 of 14

4.70. Question: In the fencing specs, it details out the operator for the sliding gates. I think those may be added at a future date but please confirm if we are or are not to include them in the bid.

Answer: Correct, operators for sliding gates are not to be included in this bid.

4.71. Question: In the site north access alternate, there is a double gate shown on the drawings but not called out. Please confirm width of the gate and provide construction details of this gate.

Answer: Refer to addendum sheet SS509, The width of this double swing gate will be 20’.

4.72. Question: We are usually required to bring 120V circuits to the temporary generator hookup for the temporary generator block heater/charger. Does GCC require any 120V circuitry? If so, can you provide us with panel and circuit numbers?

Answer: There is already a weather-proof (WP) receptacle on the design documents, captured adjacent to the generator connection cabinet (GCC).

4.73. Question: Under the Mechanical scope Soil, Waste, Vent, and Domestic Water piping are all listed. These should be listed in a Plumbing scope. Please clarify.

Answer: The mechanical scope specification covers both mechanical and plumbing scope. There is not a dedicated specification outlining plumbing scope.

4.74. Question: The Geo above ground pipe is listed as polyethylene fused pipe please confirm this as the desired product. We would prefer and is normal to switch to Carbon/Copper inside of the building.

Answer: Bid as specified and shown in the construction documents.

4.75. Question: Drawing E505, detail 2, shows that the grounding electrode conductors are to be sized using NEC Table T250.66. The riser on drawing E701 shows that the grounding electrode conductors should be #500 MCM copper. Please advise on which we are supposed to go with.

Answer: Provide per what is shown on sheet E701.

4.76. Question: E701 shows the BMGB is to be installed in a NEMA 3R enclosure. This is not shown on the E505 detail 2. Does BMGB have to be in a NEMA 3R enclosure?

Answer: The BMGB is located in the electrical room, it does not need to be in an enclosure.

4.77. Question: Please clarify the intent of the security camera and access control work. One of our security and access control contractors has raised the concern that no doors are shown to receive access controls and no cameras are shown. They are further confused by the responsibility matrix on E001 seems to indicate that those systems are owner furnished and installed yet we have a full specification. Please clarify this scope of work. At this point, we can’t even provide the wiring called for in the responsibility matrix as we have no rough-in locations.

Addendum 2 Page 14 of 14

Answer: All access controls and security cameras were removed by the Guard. The camera at the front door is specifically provided and connected so that they can see who is at the door and not as a security measure. It is noted in the Systems Responsibility Matrix on sheet E001 that the device, conductors and terminations are to be Owner Furnished Owner Installed (OFOI) and the pathway/backbox is to be Contractor Furnished Contractor Installed (CFCI).

DETECTABLE WARNINGS NOTES:

1. GENERAL: DETECTABLE WARNINGS ARE A DISTINCTIVE SURFACE PATTERN OF

TRUNCATED DOMES WHICH ARE DETECTABLE BY CANE OR UNDERFOOT TO ALERT

PEOPLE WITH VISION IMPAIRMENTS OF THEIR APPROACH TO STREETS AND

HAZARDOUS DROP-OFFS.

2. PLACEMENT: DETECTABLE WARNINGS ARE TO BE INSTALLED AT ANY LOCATION WHERE

PEDESTRIANS MIGHT CROSS PATHS WITH VEHICULAR TRAFFIC LANES, SUCH AS THE

BASE OF CURB RAMPS OR AT BLENDED CURBS. A 24" STRIP OF DOMES IS

TO BE INSTALLED FOR THE FULL WIDTH OF THE RAMP OR WALK. TYPICAL STREET

CORNER PLACEMENT LOCATIONS ARE SHOWN ON SHEET CS102.

3. SOME DETECTABLE WARNING PRODUCTS REQUIRE A CONCRETE BORDER FOR PROPER

INSTALLATION. THE CONCRETE BORDER SHOULD NOT EXCEED 2". WHERE THE BACK OF

CURB EDGE IS TOOLED TO PROVIDE A RADIUS, THE BORDER DIMENSION SHOULD BE

MEASURED FROM THE END OF THE RADIUS.

4. THE DEPTH OF CONCRETE UNDERNEATH DETECTABLE WARNING PRODUCTS SHALL BE

A MINIMUM OF 4". SEE DETAIL A.

5. ALIGNMENT: TRUNCATED DOMES SHOULD BE ALIGNED WITH THE PRIMARY DIRECTION

OF THE RAMP AS SHOWN ON THE DETECTABLE WARNING ALIGNMENT DETAIL TO

DIRECT PEDESTRIANS TOWARD THE LANDING. NORMALLY THE DETECTABLE WARNINGS

SHOULD BE FLUSH WITH THE BACK OF THE CURB, BUT FOR SKEWED CONDITIONS SEE

DETECTABLE WARNING ALIGNMENT DETAIL. FOR NON-STANDARD LAYOUTS,

DETECTABLE WARNING MATERIALS MAY HAVE TO BE MITERED AND PLACED

SEGMENTALLY.

6. PRODUCTS & COLORS: COLOR OF THE DETECTABLE WARNINGS SHOULD BE SAFETY YELLOW.
