About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 for Request for Qualifications Number MIDD-025-004, issued by the Town of Middletown's Parks & Beaches department for painting services at multiple locations including Second Beach, Wyatt Road, War Memorial, and Aquidneck Field. The addendum provides clarifications about the project, including specific details about interior walls, exterior surfaces, and lifeguard stand dimensions. Key timeline requirements include completing all Campground items by April 23rd, Beach-related items by May 16th, and Aquidneck School items after June 20th when the school year concludes. The painting scope involves one coat of primer and one coat of finish for various structures, with specific instructions about surface preparation (scraping and wire brushing, but no sandblasting).
The addendum includes several important clarifications for bidders, such as confirming that each item's cost on the bid proposal should cover the entire quantity (e.g., the price for 12 lifeguard stands covers all 12), and that the successful bidder must comply with Davis-Bacon and Prevailing Wage requirements. The document provides detailed measurements for interior spaces, including office, bathroom, and locker room areas, totaling approximately 1,067 square feet across various locations. The Town will handle moving structures that can be relocated, and the project includes painting trim and staining specific areas at War Memorial and Wyatt Field concession stands. Attachments include site addresses, a sign-in sheet from a mandatory pre-bid meeting, and photographic documentation of the spaces to be painted.
