About this file

This document is a comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for a construction renovation project at the U.S. Embassy in Windhoek, Namibia. The project involves extensive additions and alterations to an existing property, encompassing multiple scope areas including demolition of a mini golf course, construction of new concrete ramps, installation of balustrades, modifications to internal walls, removal and installation of doors and windows, tiling replacement, flooring installation, and joinery alterations. The work is detailed across 15 distinct builder's work sections, covering everything from earthworks and concrete work to plumbing, paintwork, and external works.

Key technical specifications include using specific materials like 30MPa concrete, 7MPa concrete bricks, porcelain tiles, and bronze powder-coated aluminum windows. The project timeline is set at 3 calendar months, with penalties of N$500 per calendar day for non-completion. Specific requirements include temporary site access from Monday to Friday (07:30 to 16:30), employer-supplied utilities, and adherence to occupational health and safety standards. The estimated budget involves a provisional electrical installation sum of 35,000 Rand, with an additional contingency of N$120,000, and will be executed as a firm fixed-price contract under the U.S. Department of State's procurement guidelines.
