About this file
This document is Addendum #5 to the City of Peachtree City's Re-Roof Kedron Fieldhouse Project 24-109BES. The addendum addresses a question regarding the length of the metal roof panels for the Aquatic Center portion of the project, which exceeds the maximum length that can be delivered by standard tractor trailers. In response, the City has amended the specification to allow for on-site panel fabrication by the manufacturer using their approved machinery and processes.
The addendum also clarifies that the project engineer is CPL, not the architect. The project scope involves the re-roofing of the Kedron Fieldhouse & Aquatic Center in Peachtree City, Georgia, located in Fayette County. The work includes installing standing-seam metal roof panels and replacing related flashing, trim, gutters, and accessories.

CITY OF PEACHTREE CITY
RE-ROOF KEDRON FIELDHOUSE PROJECT
24-109BES
ADDENDUM #5
QUESTION: After review and speaking with the basis of design manufacturer (Petersen) as well as the truck drivers, the upper roof of the aquatic center has panels that are 60'+ and is causing some concerns for delivery. Tractor trailers are 53' long and the panel length of this section being longer than 60' (about 2/3 of the entire project) will not fit on these trailers. Without using special DOT equipment, approval, and oversized loads these panels are not an option for Petersen to produce and deliver.
Based on the addenda 1 response, it was mentioned that panels may not be manufactured onsite, but the manufacturer feels that it would be beneficial to the project to be able to have them run onsite using Petersen fabrication methods using their approved machinery. Can you please reconsider this as an option?
CITY’S RESPONSE: See attached.
QUESTION: Is the Engineer for the project going to be the architect, or is the awarded contractor to provide their own engineer?
CITY’S RESPONSE: The engineer for the project is CPL.
