About this file

This document is Addendum #2 for the Roof Renovations project at West Virginia State University in Kanawha County, West Virginia. The addendum provides clarifications and responses to questions posed by contractors during the mandatory pre-bid conference held on July 9, 2024. It confirms that existing roof drains should not be changed to overflow drains unless field verification indicates they are not functioning properly. The addendum also clarifies that tapered insulation is not required for the entire roof where the structure provides adequate slope, and should only be used to create crickets at roof penetrations and curbs. Bids for this project are due by 2:30 PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

The addendum does not provide any information about pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other salient details beyond the clarifications to the project scope. It simply addresses specific questions raised during the pre-bid conference related to the roof work requirements.
