About this file
This document is an Addendum #2 to Invitation for Bids (IFB) #24-001 for Ditch Cleaning Services issued by the County of Mathews, Virginia. The IFB seeks bids from qualified and properly licensed Virginia contractors to provide on-call, as-needed ditch cleaning services within the county. The addendum clarifies the payment terms, including hourly rates for various equipment and labor, as well as the process for approving and billing additional materials required for the projects. It also addresses questions raised during a pre-bid meeting, such as requirements for land disturbance permits and Miss Utility response times.
The bid form included in the addendum requests firm prices for items such as walking excavators, mini-excavators, manual labor, trucking for debris removal, skid-steer loaders, and tree removal based on diameter. Contractors are also required to provide a flat rate for mobilization to project sites within the county. Bids are due on March 8, 2024, at 4:00 PM.
