About this file
This Addendum 2 was issued by Frederick Water on November 15, 2024, for the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the Henry F. Sliwinski WTP East Pit Advanced Treatment Project. The document addresses three questions from potential proposers regarding as-built drawings, water quality studies, and plant operations. The agency indicates that record drawings will be posted when available, and the treatability study and water quality data will be released as part of the RFP.
Regarding current operations, the document reveals that the Sliwinski WTP operates weekly but is not currently producing water for distribution. By early December, the WTP will begin treating water from Pit 2 and distributing to customers. Frederick Water plans to minimize future downtime but can utilize the Anderson WTP as needed to allow for Sliwinski WTP shutdowns. The addendum requires acknowledgment from proposers through a signed and dated form that must be included with their proposal submission.
