About this file

This is Addendum #2 to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued by Nash Community College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, for architectural design services related to Project 3042—the Student Services Remodel. The college is seeking architectural firms to provide engineering and design services, along with construction oversight, for the remodel and reconfiguration of the Student Services area located on the first floor of Building A. The scope encompasses Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Academic Advisors, and Student Services departments, with potential expansion into a portion of the library depending on budgetary constraints. Architectural firms must be properly licensed to practice in North Carolina and submit letters of interest and Standard Form 254s by October 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with submissions delivered in hard copy format (three copies) stapled in the upper left-hand corner with no binders, notebooks, tabs, or clips. No site visits or guided tours will be conducted prior to submission.

The total project budget is $2,758,747.48, funded through State Construction Infrastructure Funds (SCIF). The anticipated consultant disciplines required include Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP), Fire Protection Systems, and Cost Estimating, with additional specialty consultants to be incorporated based on the architect's recommendations. The selection committee will evaluate proposals based on ten criteria, including specialized expertise, past performance on similar projects, adequate staffing, current workload, proposed design approach, experience with project costs and schedules, construction administration capabilities, local familiarity, and track record of successful project completion. Questions regarding the solicitation should be directed to Ronnie Raper, the Procurement Lead, at 252-451-8240 or Raraper273@nashcc.edu.
