About this file

This document is an addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by Fort Valley State University for the FVSU Multi-Bldg Automation project. The RFP seeks a qualified contractor to automate the HVAC systems in 6 buildings at the university. The addendum clarifies responses to questions raised during the mandatory pre-bid conference held on 9/17/2024. Key details include that existing devices, wiring, and conduit can be reused where possible, and that the new DDC enclosure and controller can be placed in the same location as the existing equipment. The addendum also provides clarification on the requirements for certain building systems, such as electric wall heaters and ductless split systems, which are to remain with their existing standalone controls.

Regarding pricing and funding, the addendum does not provide specific details. However, it notes that the points on the I/O schedules are the minimum requirements for monitoring, suggesting that bidders may need to include pricing for any additional necessary components. The addendum also indicates that the project is funded by the state of Georgia, specifically Paulding County.
