About this file

This is Addendum 2 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Town of Riverdale Park, Maryland Department of Public Works for Town Lawn Mowing and Maintenance Services. The addendum clarifies that the current solicitation (ITB DPW 2025-003) is being re-advertised following an unsuccessful previous solicitation (ITB DPW 2025-001), in which no contractor was selected from the bid proposals received. The Town seeks a licensed contractor to provide lawn mowing and landscape maintenance services across various municipal sites, with the contractor responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to maintain the sites in an attractive and healthy condition according to Town specifications and standards. The current solicitation includes fewer mowing sites compared to the previous ITB.

The Town does not disclose previous contract pricing, as doing so would be misleading given the reduced scope of work under the current solicitation. The Town remains committed to outsourcing this municipal service and anticipates selecting a contractor through this bidding process. No specific contract term, renewal options, pricing structure, or funding source information is provided in this addendum.

TO: Interested Parties

FROM: Town of Riverdale Park

Date: November 25, 2025

SUBJECT: Addendum 2 - RFP No. DPW 2025-003 – Town Lawn Mowing and Maintenance

Services

This Addendum responds to questions received from potential bidders.

1. Could you please kindly provide the last contract price?

Response: The Town does not typically share a company’s pricing. In this situation, it would be misleading as the number of mowing sites has increased.

2. Additionally, can you please confirm why this solicitation is being advertised again in less than a year? Is it for the same scope of work, and if there are any differences, we should be aware of?

Response: The Town did not select a contractor from the bid proposals received in response to ITB DPW 2025–001. The new solicitation includes fewer mowing sites, as noted in

Addendum 1. The Town is committed to outsourcing this municipal service and looks forward to selecting a contractor to manage this service.
