About this file

Addendum 2 is a contract document issued by Romeo-Washington-Bruce Parks and Recreation for the 2024 Asphalt Walking Path Repair, Extension, and Side Playground Parking Lot project in Bruce Township, Michigan. The addendum provides updated specifications for bidders, including details on path repair and extension work involving existing and new asphalt paths totaling 3,963 linear feet (20,400 sq ft existing path and 3,378 sq ft path extension). The project requires contractors to clean, repair, and resurface paths with specific hot mix asphalt (HMA) specifications, including filling cracks, removing and replacing uneven sections, and addressing drainage issues. Bidders are advised that the project must be completed in the current calendar year, no bond is required, and the bid will be awarded to a single company.

The document outlines precise technical requirements for path and parking lot reconstruction, including specific material specifications such as 6" base of 21AA aggregate, HMA 5E1 layering, and precise thickness measurements for path and parking lot surfaces. Contractors must include ground restoration costs in their quotes, covering natural drainage slopes, ground repairs, topsoil, seeding, and straw. The parking lot renovation includes regrading and leveling with two ADA and ten regular parking spaces. Interested bidders can obtain full details on the rwbparksrec.org website under the "ABOUT US - BIDS" section and are encouraged to contact Parks & Recreation at 586-752-6543 Ext 1406 for potential site visits or additional information.
