About this file
This document is an Addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Oregon Military Department (OMD) Joint Force Headquarters for the Coos Bay Armory Lift Station Repairs project. The project includes removing the existing sewage ejection system and control panel and replacing them with new equipment, removing and replacing all waste piping and associated valves, and removing and replacing the existing pumps, pump panel, plumbing, and associated parts. The work also includes dewatering and cleaning the lift station vault, equipment removal and disposal, site cleanup, and other related tasks. The project is located at the Coos Bay Armory in Coos County, Oregon.
The addendum provides responses to bidder questions, deletes the original Statement of Work, and replaces it with an updated version. Key requirements include submitting a weekly supervisor's report, providing project photos, holding project meetings, and completing a DD Form 1354 to capture all new items installed as part of the project. Protests to the changes made in the addendum must be submitted by 3 PM on June 16, 2022.

SUBJECT: Addendum 2 to ITB 200026C001 Coos Bay Armory Lift Station Upgrades
TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS AND ALL OTHERS CONCERNED
1. The changes, clarifications, omissions, additions, and alterations in, on, and to the solicitation information and specifications shall apply to the bids submitted for and to the project indicated above. Except as modified by this Addendum, all of the terms and provisions of the Invitation to Bid (“ITB”) for the above listed project remain in full force and effect. This Addendum
Number 1 supersedes all previous instructions pertaining to the items listed:
CHANGES TO ITB
2. Changes to ITB: The following changes are made to the ITB. (Where applicable, additions are indicated with bold and underlined and deletions are indicated by strikethrough).
a. The following responses are provided to questions received through June 14, 2022.
1. We would like to supply Submersible sewage pumps manufactured by Grundfos, instead of Barnes/Peabody
(which is now Barnes/Crane). Would that be acceptable
RESPONSE: This is acceptable
2 The bid documents show a tank between the lift station and the building, however, there is no mention of the tank being touched as far as work on the lift station goes. My guess based on scant information is that the tank functions like a “trash tank” or solids capture tank, and although usage of the facility is light, after 50 years, that tank will need some attention. With that in mind, I believe that some scope for this project should extend to that tank. Namely, the following items I believe should be considered
The tank should be located, the access ways exposed and the tank pump of solids prior to the start of work on the lift station rehab.
a. This would allow for storage so that inadvertent usage of the facility will not reach the lift station while it is being worked on.
b. This would also allow for evaluation of the condition of the tank, as it’s function and condition will directly affect the performance of the lift station.
RESPONSE: At this point we are not sure of a location of a solids tank. At this time we will disregard any work associated with this tank, please plan on lift station replacement work only.
b. ITB Attachment A Statement of Work is herby deleted in its entirety and replaced by Attachment A Statement of Work
Addendum 2 Version attached to this Addendum.
3. This addendum must be acknowledged and submitted for this project. By acknowledging this addendum on Section H, (2), (a) of the ITB, the bidder agrees they have read and understood the above mentioned changes and have incorporated those changes into their bid.
PROTEST OF ANY CHANGES TO THE ITB MADE BY THIS ADDENDUM MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITTEN
