About this file

This document is Addendum #1 for Invitation to Bid (ITB) #25-082-PW issued by the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) for On-Call Diving Services. The addendum, dated July 29, 2025, provides clarification and additional information for the procurement, with the bid closing date remaining unchanged at August 6, 2025. The document addresses a bidder's question about contract value, with EWEB indicating an estimated contract value of $150,000 over five years, and reiterates the requirement for an Oregon CCB license for work under the contract.

The addendum is a material change to the original bid that requires acknowledgment by bidders, either by signing and returning a copy of the addendum or by circling the addendum number on the bid form. The document emphasizes that while the contract is on-call and the contract value is not firm or guaranteed, bidders should use the $150,000 over five years as a reasonable estimate for preparing their bid bond. The addendum was prepared by Sandra Hahn, the Purchasing Contact, and provides a space for bidders to acknowledge receipt and agreement with the addendum's conditions.

ADDENDUM # 1

On-Call Diving Services

ITB # 25-082-PW

This addendum modifies the bidding document(s) for work only to the extent indicated herein. All other areas not specifically mentioned or affected by this addendum shall remain in full force. This addendum shall be added as a part of the original bidding document and shall become part of the work required.

QUESTION & ANSWER

1. Our Surety prefers to know the approximate contract value for the bid bond. As this is on-call, we understand this amount is not firm or a guarantee but can EWEB provide the approximate contract value from the previous on-call contract?

EWEB Response: Yes. $150,000 over 5 years would be a reasonable estimate for this on-call contract.

REMINDER REGARDING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A reminder that an Oregon CCB license is required for work under this Contract, as noted on the submittal for Section 00450 Minimum Requirements.

CLOSING DATE AND TIME – August 6, 2025 Remains unchanged.

This addendum constitutes a MATERIAL CHANGE to the bid. ITS RECEIPT BY THE BIDDER IS TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED BY A SIGNATURE AND RETURNING A COPY OF THE ADDENDUM WITH ITS RESPONSE OR

BY CIRCLING THE ADDENDUM NUMBER IN THE APPROPRIATE AREA ON THE BID FORM.
