About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 for RFP2025-005, issued by the City of Kissimmee, Florida, concerning the Modernization of City Hall Elevators. The addendum provides clarifications and answers to 14 specific questions from potential bidders, covering key project details such as the elevator conversion type (machine room-less MRL traction elevator), project timeline (28 weeks per elevator), and project budget (approximately $700,000). The document confirms requirements including the need for a dedicated general contractor supervisor onsite throughout the project, compliance with 2019 Elevator code for two-way voice/text communications, and the necessity of stamped engineering design plans for beam placement and hoistway integration.
Additional notable details include confirmation that both elevators are connected to a generator, with one elevator currently inoperable due to limited parts availability. The addendum provides contact information for the fire alarm vendor (Johnson Controls) and mechanical engineer (SGM Engineering), and clarifies that the contractor must provide their own trench safety form. The document also indicates that elevator certificates can be retained, with the certificate for Elevator 1 attached and the certificate for Elevator 2 posted inside the elevator cab. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by completing the specified section in the original RFQ and submitting the form with their proposal.
