About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 for RFP2025-005 issued by the City of Kissimmee, Florida, regarding the Modernization of City Hall Elevators. The addendum provides clarifications and answers to 14 specific questions about the elevator modernization project. Key details include the project involving two elevators, with a conversion to machine room-less (MRL) traction elevators, a project timeline of 28 weeks per elevator, and a budget of approximately $700,000. The addendum confirms compliance requirements with the 2019 Elevator code, specifies the need for 2-way voice and text communications, and requires a dedicated general contractor supervisor onsite throughout the entire project.

Additional project specifics include the current inoperability of one elevator due to limited parts availability, confirmation that the generator is connected to the elevators, and the requirement for stamped engineering design plans. Contact information is provided for the fire alarm vendor (Johnson Controls) and the mechanical engineer (Will Nafziger from SGM Engineering). The addendum also addresses technical details such as trench safety forms, engineering drawings, and elevator certificates, with instructions for proposers to acknowledge receipt of the addendum by completing the appropriate section in the RFQ and submitting the form with their proposal.
