The addendum provides clarifications through a Question and Answer format, addressing potential bidders' inquiries about the procurement. Bidders are encouraged to submit any additional questions to shpurchasing@sterling-heights.net. The addendum includes a signature line for bidders to acknowledge their understanding of the addendum's implications, and directs potential bidders to obtain official bid specifications from www.mitn.info or by calling the Office of Purchasing at 586-446-2740.

ADDENDUM #1

POSTED: SEPTEMBER 23, 2024

INVITATION TO BID ITB-SH24-027 FIRE TURNOUT GEAR WASHER EXTRACTORS

DUE DATE: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2024, at 2:30 P.M.

ADDENDUM #1 – Question and Answer

Q1: We are planning to bid on the Extractors for the city but need to do a site inspection for each firehouse. Our goal is to understand the size limitations in each location that will help guide our bid.

A1: Size limitations are not a concern at this time for the size units that are requested within the ITB.

Q2: Would the winning bidder be installing the machines and hard mounting them.

A2: The specifications do not require the selling company to install the units, but if installation is offered through your agency, please indicate that with your submittal for further consideration by the City.

Q3: Are we delivering them to a central location for your team to install?

A3: Each unit will be delivered to the addresses listed within the specifications. The City will coordinate final installation.

Any further questions can be directed to shpurchasing@sterling-heights.net.
