About this file
This document is an Addendum to Invitation for Bid (IFB) #453-24 for Milling Machine Rental Services issued by Dawson County, Georgia. The IFB solicits bids for milling machine rental services, with a bid closing date of December 5, 2024, at 10:30 AM EST. The addendum revises the price proposal form and clarifies that the "1/2 Milling Machine w/ Crew" pay item does not refer to the time worked or crew size, but rather the size of the milling machine. It also confirms that a 7-foot milling machine would be acceptable in lieu of the specified 6-foot machine, and that the contractor is responsible for removing all loose material generated during the milling process.
The IFB does not indicate any set-asides, incumbent contractors, or specific funding sources. It states that Dawson County provides equal opportunity for all businesses and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, or veteran status.

The following are Questions and Answers for the IFB #453-24 Milling Machine Rental Services:
QUESTION: 1. Can you elaborate more on the pay item "1/2 Milling Machine w/ Crew"? Does this mean they would only be working a half of a day or only half the crew is needed?
2. Most contractors use a 7' milling machine, would this be acceptable in lieu of the 6' milling machine?
3. Would the contractor be responsible for any sweeping or vacuuming or just strictly milling?
ANSWER:
1. No, that pay item does not refer to the time worked or the crew size. ½ lane machine refers to a 6 ft or 7 ft machine.
