About this file

This document is an Addendum #1 issued by the Florida Army National Guard Construction & Facility Management Office for the 217047 - Plant City Lighting Upgrade Project. The addendum revises the key dates for the project, including extending the last day for questions to December 5, 2023, the release of Addendum #2 to December 14, 2023, and the bid opening to January 18, 2024. The project involves the removal of existing light fixtures and poles, installation of new light poles and concrete bases, new light fixtures, and photocells, along with minor excavation and related electrical work. The project must comply with various regulatory requirements, including the Florida Building Code, State Fire Marshall, and local authorities. A pre-bid meeting was held on November 8, 2023, and a site visit was conducted.

The project is estimated to cost between $100,000 and $123,000, and a bid bond is required for bids exceeding $100,000. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder that submits the lowest price for the base bid or base bid plus alternate bid items. The award of the contract is contingent on funding from the State of Florida. Liquidated damages will be assessed for late completion, and the contractor is required to follow lawful orders of the facility commander.
