About this file

This Addendum 1 document issued December 13, 2022, by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, modifies Invitation to Bid No. RFB-162-23 for sanitary sewer repairs at McCracken Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Paducah, Kentucky. The addendum revises the project phasing schedule to consolidate the originally planned eight construction phases into two primary phases. Phase 1 combines the original Phases 1 through 4 and involves replacement of the entire main sewer line with the owner relocating residents from Pods 100 and 500, while the contractor provides temporary walkway support over open trenches to maintain resident access from Pods 200, 300, and 400. Phase 2 consolidates the original Phases 5 through 8 and requires replacement of main sections in the remaining areas with residents relocated from Pods 200, 300, and 400, including any work associated with Alternate 1 if accepted.

The addendum grants the contractor permission to use the outdoor recreation area as a materials laydown and storage area, subject to coordination with the owner, and requires the contractor to match existing flooring in areas where patching is necessary. No attachments are included with this addendum, and no specific pricing, timeline, or award information is detailed in this document modification.
