About this file
This document is Addendum #1 to Invitation for Bid (IFB) #24037 issued by the City of Fairfax, Virginia's Office of Procurement Services for the Judicial Drive Trail Connection project (UPC 113614). The project involves constructing approximately 500 linear feet of new stone dust trail and a 70-foot pedestrian bridge adjacent to Accotink Creek. The bid due date was changed to February 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM. The addendum provides responses to 43 questions from prospective bidders regarding items such as mobilization and maintenance of traffic limits, rock/obstruction removal, earthwork quantities, night work, staging areas, parking restrictions, maintenance of traffic/construction sequencing, as-builts, test pits, CPM schedules, concrete mix designs, caisson depths, and utility information. The related state and local contract opportunity indicates this is a VDOT-funded project with a 6% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal and requires VDOT pre-qualification.
The addendum does not provide any information regarding pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding sources, or contract amounts. It focuses on clarifying technical specifications and addressing bidder questions to ensure a successful procurement process.
